DREAM JOURNAL: THE BACKROOMS (OF MEMORY)
6” x 6” artist’s sketchbook. 30 Pages (front and back). All pages with content. Inside front and back covers are blank. The front and back covers are painted white. The front contains a collage. The book is a dream journal from 1 May 2023 to 26 May 2023. The book was created in June 2023 The book is a visual and textual experiment. The right-hand of every page is a three-column grid containing dreams. A text inspired by that dream then follows each dream. The text in each column is in red, blue, or green. A dream will start in one column, on one page, and in one color before continuing on another page, in another column, and in another color until the dream ends. The text is to be read in every permutation. The left-hand page is a visual and textual collage experiment that includes pages ripped from a book, photograph fragments and fragments of photograph experiments, paint, ink, hand-written text, photocopied images, etc.
